Podcast Recording in Reading for Health Tech firm Occuity

We really enjoyed a Podcast Recording this week in Reading for pioneering Healthcare Tech firm Occuity. It was all about highlighting their revolutionary contactless handheld devices – PM1 and Indigo – whilst taking a tour of their impressive head office in the historical centre of Reading.

The PM1 pachymeter will make it easier, faster and safer to diagnose glaucoma by measuring corneal thickness in just a few seconds. It is estimated that by 2040, 111.8 million people will have glaucoma worldwide, so PM1 really has the potential to be a game-changing device.

Indigo is a glucose meter for non-invasive diabetes monitoring that looks set to change the way the world reads glucose levels. Instead of diabetics having to take blood samples, this device will allow them to ascertain glucose levels by simply holding it to the eye… Groundbreaking!

It was fascinating to learn how Occuity’s technology is facilitating innovation in healthcare from Design Engineer, Jamie Serjeant and Head of Digital Marketing, Richard Kadri-Langford.
